As the parents of a gentle Golden Retriever, a shy Tibetan Spaniel, an elderly cat, and a happy bird, we knew first hand how hard it was to find a place to care for our pets just as we did. We wanted to know that they felt comfortable, warm, and loved even if it was an unfamiliar environment. In a chain link kennel, that's hard hard thing to achieve. Our dream was to create a place of warmth and familiarity, a second home for many other well loved pets. The Renaissance Pet Resort & Spa opened its doors in August 2002 and has been a favorite vacation spot for many four-legged friends. When parents travel to distant places around the world or just a few miles away, they know their beloved pets are having fun too!
Since 2002, our family has changed and grown. Rambo, the Tibetan Spaniel; Allie, the elderly cat: and our happy bird have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. All lived a wonderfully long life and we're happy for the time they blessed our hearts & our lives.
Wally, the big Golden Retriever & retired Guide Dog, now has a feline sister, a spunky Abbysinian named Maryiah; and two brothers: Fraiser, a Persian lap-cat; and Timber, a VERY talkative African Grey parrot. Wally stills loves his job at Renaissance, helping new guests adjust to the "suite" life! Just recently, a delightful little Bichon joined our family. Bisoux, always sporting the latest fashions, happily greets all guests upon arriving at Renaissance.
We thank you for your support and look forward to a long and happy relationship with you and your pets!
Don & Katryn
Less pet hair??? It's possible with the Furminator treatment! The Furminator has been proven to reduce shedding by 90%!
Don and I have hardwood floors in our home and with three fur-children, two of them long haired, vaccuuming was a daily chore. Our pets are furminated on a monthly basis and, I happlily report, its the best thing since sliced bread!
The treatment consists of a hair releasing shampoo and conditioner, followed by a brushing session with a specialized grooming tool. The tool releases the dead and loose hair, without trimming or cutting the coat. The result is a healthy, beautiful coat and a very happy parent! And, yes, that much hair really does come out! Ask us to bag up the hair - we'll probably have a trashbag for you!
